Flat Iron Steak with Balsamic Reduction

This was just ok. I 1/2ed the recipe and covered the steaks in the oil, then lightly sprinkled the pepper on top--didn't want to make them too spicy. My hubby grilled the steak while I prepared the basalmic reduction on the stove. It sounded great but tasted so-so. Thanks anyway!

Egg Nog

This recipe tasted NOTHING like egg nog. My husband did find that if you increased the Irish cream and added two heaping tablespoons of sugar, it did make it more palatable. But it still did not taste like your grandma's egg nog. My suggestion: skip the milk, the egg, and the Irish whiskey and just drink the Bailey's straight.

SMUCKER'S® Stuffed French Toast

I also used 2 pieces of bread--great idea--because I have such trouble stuffing things (except my face:). My advice is to use a firm/hearty bread and not squishy Wonderbread.

Homestyle Potato Chips

Yum! I sliced them a little thick (the thinnest slicer I had, though) and it took *much* longer to fry each batch than I thought it would. Add salt and vinegar and plan on no leftovers.

Eat Michigan Salad

I loved this salad. Never thought to add mayo and syrup together, but it is so tasty and fresh. *Update* Made it a 2nd time but didn't have real maple syrup on hand so I used regular syrup. It wasn't as sweet so I doubled the sugar. Maybe should have added a little extra.
