Paradise at Last!
My kids finally locked me up!
About this Cook
Well lets see. I am a thirty(ish)year old female. (Hey I don't have to tell you everything)I live in the best city ever. (Of course this is my opinion)I have two kids; three if you include my husband. I cook to relax. I know that's an oxymoron.I like to try new things, and try to get all three of my kid(s) to eat right and stay fit.
My favorite things to cook
Mostly chicken and fish. I experiment with fusion cooking and certain things turn out really good and some things don't.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Christmas is my favorite. That's when I pull out all the stops, and have a wonderful feast. To me that is my special present to everyone. After all the gifts are opened the smell from the kitchen always bring back fond childhood memories. To this day my mom is always in the kitchen, and I have to admit that I take after her in that way too.
My cooking triumphs
When I had to cook for many people around the holiday. My husband likes to invite friends over for the holiday's, and he forgot to tell me how many people were coming. Lucky I always cook for many more people than who is coming. On that day (It was Thanksgiving)I barely had enough. Everyone was stuffed and happy.
My cooking tragedies
I try to block out those memories!

Turkey Tetrazzini II
I followed the recipe however the taste was something left to be desired with my family. It tasted more of the flour than anything else. Will not make again.

Super Scrambled Eggs Number One
This is a very good basic recipe. However, it could use some sprucing up. I used diced garlic instead of onion (my family is crazy for garlic. No vampires here!) and I only had turkey Polish sausage on hand (diced). For a little bite I diced up some Thai hot pepper. Added some bell pepper and place all the garlic,Thai hot, sausage, and bell pepper into an olive oil sprayed fry pan. I sautéed them for about 2 min. Then I added the egg/milk mix. Put everything into a whole wheat tortilla and presto. Breakfast fit for a king!
