Summer of 2007: Key Ingredients Smithsonian exhibit came to town and we held a kick-off party to thank organizers. The menu was based on six winning recipe entries from the six towns hosting the exhibit; three pies, one coffee cake, pasties and pretzels. I didn't make the pretzels or the pasties, but the desserts sure were delicious. A batch of cupcakes that were tasty, but flat. A review of the wastebasket revealed no egg shells; hence no eggs put in. I wouldn't recommend omitting eggs from cupcakes.
