I haven't tried this yet, but I do have a diabetic boyfriend whose sugar tends to run high and I use unsweetened soy milk instead of milk. It lowers the sugar count in the recipe from milk from 16 to less than 3! I do believe there is unsweetened almond and rice milks as well! I hope this has helped someone.

It was really good! So quick and easy to make. I did what others had suggested and tripled the recipe for the sauce, and also quadrupled the red pepper, and added 1 teaspoon of ground garlic. I also added 1 bag of frozen stir fry veggie mix after it had already been prepared. I also added some black pepper to the garlic and green onions. My mother even enjoyed it and she is very picky. My new favorite quickie meal!
