I am a widowed father of two boys. Cooking started as a neccesity, but became a way for my sons and I to keep connected by making meals together and discussing our culinary accomplishments.

I always enjoy trying to duplicate an ethnic or regional cuisine, especially one that is labor intensive. They don't always work, but it is a real learning experience.

I have managed to make some very delicious honey-baked hams at Christmas.

I can't seem to make a decent sauerbraten, and I really enjoy that dish!
