About this Cook
I am the mother of three wonderful children. I enjoy cooking and experimenting with new recipes for my family and friends. I run a small business making handmade soaps and candles from my home and online.
My favorite things to cook
I live in New Mexico so we enjoy alot of spicey Mexican style foods in this area, but my family loves italian, bbq and gourmet foods. I've been cooking for 15 years and one of our favorite family activities is cooking together. We also enjoy baking cookies and cakes. I adore cupcakes!!
My favorite family cooking traditions
We always cook together and create new recipes together to find new flavors to bring to our family table.
My cooking tragedies
When I was 12 I made something called sponge candy that contained baking soda and vinegar. I measured improperly and ended up with a volcano the cat wouldn't even eat.

Candied Apples II
This recipe is wonderful! I think the negative reviewers are obviously unexperienced candy makers. This recipe clearly states what temperature to cook it too. Mine turned out wonderfully. The candy was nice and solid , we were able to bite through the candy coating, it wasn't sticky or gooey and we had a nice crunch. Absolutely delicious and well deserved five stars.

Chantal's New York Cheesecake
Delicious! Recipe is perfect as is. We do like a tad bit sweeter cheese cake so I add 2 cups of sugar rather than 1 1/2 cups.

This was wonderful! I used fresh mushrooms rather than canned mushrooms because I don't care for the flavor of mushrooms from a tin can. lol I did everything same. When using fresh mushrooms they make more juices because the water cooks from them, so I added a little more flour. It gave us more sauce which is what we love, the saucier the better. The seasonings and everything for this recipe is fantastic and DO NOT LEAVE OUT THE WINE! The wine is one of the key ingredients for the right flavor to this recipe. Five stars from my family.
