About this Cook
I started cooking at age 14 out of necessity, both parents worked full time and if i didnt cook,my sisters and I were left to eat cereal or Kraft Macaroni and Cheese.I learned early on that i loved to cook and my family loved to eat my dishes...A cook was born!!!
My favorite things to cook
Homemade gourmet pizza, mediterranean dishes with lots of lemon,Grilled meats and vegetables with lotsa fresh herbs,Anything grown from my garden.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mother only cooked on Sundays, when she did it was always a very large satisfying meal...I always looked forward to Sundays!!!
My cooking triumphs
Making homemade bread...from scratch without a bread machine at age 15.The house smelled so good...It was then i discovered I didnt like to bake too much. The bread was fabulous,It was just ALOT of work.LOL.
My cooking tragedies
Adding salt to a dish and discovering that the salt lid was not screwed on tight or even slightly tight...Ruined the whole thing...Had to start over.

Sunday Brunch Casserole
This was absolutely fabulous!!I didnt really change much except I cut the eggs down to 10 and added 3/4 cup of milk and also added some ground sausage I had on hand from making pizza the night before...Also added a bit of the cheese to the top 10 minutes before it was done.My boyfriend ate 4 large pieces!!!Great recipe..Thanks.I will be making this for Christmas breakfast!!

Stuffed Green Peppers
Im sorry to say I did not like this at all.I am used to not cooking the meat before baking.I like my stuffed peppers stuffed with a meatloaf type stuffing then baked.I figured I would try this to see if the cooking method was any better but I didnt like this at all. They were dry and crumbly due to cooking the meat before hand.I will stick to my old recipe from my mom.To each his own,I guess.
