Chicken Caesar Pitas

Loved these, but they were a little more labor intensive than I had bargained for. These may be the best pitas I have ever made. I just need to make sure I have plenty of time to work before I attempt again. Thanks.

Slow Cooker Cranberry Pork

This was good. It was easy to prepare and smelled great. My only qualm is that the meat is so expensive that you want a knock you out flavor. This recipe did not give me that. I need more bang for my buck.

Beezie's Black Bean Soup

This was a HUGE amount of food. We had tons left-over. I have really been into black bean soup lately, but this was not one of the best. It needed more pepper and a dash of hot sauce. I hate when I feel like I have to add quite a bit of hot sauce to make food taste good and that was the case with this recipe.

Pecan-Crusted Pork with Pumpkin Butter

Yummy! This is a great recipe for a pork chops. My husband made these one night recently and we all loved them. There is a lot of the pumpkin butter left. We just froze it for a later use. I will make again.

Southwestern Corn and Walnut Dip

We have appetizer night once a month at my house. I paired this with tortilla chips. It was the hit of the night. It was super easy to throw together. It was complete before the frozen appetizers we bought were finished heating in the oven! I will add to the appetizer rotation. Thanks!

Honey Baked Chicken II

Yum! I can't say enough about this fabulous chicken. It was perfect. I never crave things that I just ate, but I wanted to make this two or three nights later. I used four chicken breasts because that is what we had.

Restaurant Style Mac and Cheese

This was what I like to call a poverty meal. I made this to go along with a hot dog and a can of green beans. It was the end of the month and the budget was super slim. I wasn't expecting much because it was a throw together mac and cheese. I did like the end result. I do think it tasted like the boxed kind, but it was a nice addition to a budget table!

Slow Cooker Lasagna

Not the recipe for me. I did not change much, but I did add a little extra water. My crockpot has the tendency to burn things without a lot of liquid so I was paranoid that might happen. I ended up with the opposite end of the spectrum. I had a runny mess on my hands. The taste was nothing special and this was a bit time consuming for the morning slow cooker scramble. I think there are better recipes for a slow cooker.

White Bean and Artichoke Salad

Pretty good. I made it the night before so it had a little time to sit. I made this because I had two extra cans of cannellini beans sitting in my pantry. It was a great way to use the beans. I made this as a side item to go with the Parmesan Orange Roughy. It was a great meal. Thanks.

Fantastic Black Bean Chili

We followed the recipe exactly. I really loved the mild flavor. My toddler even liked this recipe and he is not a chili fan. It makes a lot of food. The leftovers were pretty tasty the next day. What a tasty and easy lunch! Yum!

Bacon-Wrapped Chicken Stuffed with Spinach and Ricotta

Let me just say that this was my first time preparing a meal such as this. I typically leave the pounding/stuffing recipes to my husband. Despite the fact that it did not look perfect, I was pleased with the taste. Be careful adding salt since the bacon is very salty already. I am glad I gave this recipe a try! I must admit that it looked a little gross coming out of the oven. There was a lot of liquid, but it tasted good so I quickly got over that.

Easy Pasta Fagioli

This was very good. It came out very thick as it is written. The leftovers seemed to have no liquid and more of a thick sauce. This tasted good leftover! I do think I would add another half of a can of both to thin it out. This is also very inexpensive to make. I will make again.

Crustless Spinach Quiche

This was pretty good. I added a little bit of hot sauce to the mixture because I like it with all types of egg dishes. I still felt like something was missing to make it really stand out. I did like how the spinach taste wasn't overpowering. This is a great dish to get young ones to eat spinach. My toddler loved it!

Quick and Easy Home Fries

I usually don't try things that seem this simple. I have this notion that they will be boring. This was simple and easy and very tasty. I did find that I needed to cook them longer than directed so that they weren't undercooked. My husband and baby really liked these! I will make again!

Easy Meatloaf

This is a super easy meatloaf recipe. I do agree that the topping could be doubled. I didn't feel like there was enough. This meatloaf is stellar for the amount of work it involves. I will use it again when I am in the mood for an easy and tasty meal!

Harvard Beets

I really did not like this. I am not much of a beet fan so my opinion is probably not the best. My husband said that he "kind of liked it". My toddler let it touch his tongue and spit it out. I am giving it three stars since one liked it and because it was easy. My sauce did not thicken very much.

Zesty Slow Cooker Chicken Barbecue

This is easy, but it tastes a bit strange. I think it may have been the Italian dressing. The chicken was dry and the sauce was watery. It was edible but no one really seemed to be in love with the dish.
