Honey Roasted Red Potatoes
Where I went wrong: Boiling first to speed up the process. This step is easy to overdo, making for very mushy potatoes. They were still tasty, but would've been better just roasted. Where I went right: tripling the sauce mixture. (1 whole small onion, 5tbsp butter, 3tbsp honey, 3+tsp mustard, decent shakings of s&p; melt all in microwave together, then toss with potatoes.) On the first taste straight from the oven, I thought the flavor was a bit bland, but after they'd cooled a bit they became downright addictive. Like other reviewers, the leftovers never made it to the fridge.

Corned Beef and Cabbage
SO disappointed with this. Followed recipe with the exception of skipping the cabbage (wouldn't fit in the cooker). Meat was bland and flavorless, carrots inexplicably turned brown, and the potatoes were overly vinegary. Perhaps the roast just wasn't a good one, but that doesn't account for the flavor.

Slow Cooker Chicken Parisienne
Followed the recipe, using fresh mushrooms but not adding them or sour cream mixture until last hour of cooking. Tasted fine, but very bland. Even adding salt, pepper, garlic, season-salt, paprika, thyme... Still very lackluster. Used a slightly tart Pinot Grigio, will try a more mellow Chardonay in the future for better wine flavor.
