Pecan Pie V

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2009
I've made this pie several times and it gets better every time! Everyone who tries it cannot believe it does not have corn syrup. So. Awesome.

Baked Teriyaki Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2009
I made this last night with chicken thighs... SO GOOD! I know it's not authentic grilled teri"yaki", so, should I call it teri-baked chicken?? Anyways, it was delicious with jasmine rice and some steamed veggies... Will definitely cook again.

The Best Potato Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2009
This was soooo good! I was a little hesitant about adding ranch dressing, but it was delish. I chopped up some celery that i had in the fridge, and it really topped it off... there were no leftovers! Definitely a keeper!!

Moroccan Meat Cigars

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2009
My husband is going to love these... Now i just need to find a side to go with them. After trying the original recipe, I decided to add onion to the ground pork (it's what i had) and it gave it that little extra zing. Tried them with hummus, but i'm probably going to whip up a yogurt sauce for these. Glad i took a chance!

This was a great recipe! I made a huge batch, split it up into some freezer bags, and now I can have healthy beans whenever I want! Awesome!!

Quick and Easy Alfredo Sauce

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2008
This was a fantastic alternative to the horrible alfredo-in-a-jar from the grocery store. It isn't an authentic alfredo sauce, but is amazingly creamy and delicious. I added some parsley and it was superb. This is now the only alfredo sauce I make for my boyfriend and myself.

This made a perfect quick snack! I used sourdough french because it's what I had, and it came out amazing.

Horchata (Cinnamon Rice Milk)

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2008
This was a complete disaster for me! It was ridiculously thick. I'm not sure what I did wrong... My boyfriend still loved it, but he will eat anything. I will give this recipe another try, but i'm not expecting much. This was nothing like the horchata my grandmother would make.

Buttermilk-Battered Calamari

I really liked this recipe. We were trying to figure out what to do with some calamari we had frozen in our freezer, and this was perfect!

Crab Ceviche

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2008
I was looking for a ceviche recipe that didn't call for fish, and this was perfect! I didn't have cilantro, but it came out awesome anyways. I now keep extra crab meat in the freezer to make this whenever we want a nice snack. I added some garlic powder and onion salt... delish!

Toffee Crunch Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2008
These cookies came out AMAZING! I didn't use all the toffee chips it called for, I got a bag of Heath chips and just used that. They were good without being too sweet, and stayed soft and delicious after 2 days. One of my new favorite recipes!

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2008
Loved this recipe! Rating 4 because I made adjustments. As recomended by other users, I used frozen chicken breasts, I used half broth and half water, added potatoes and mushrooms, and flattened the biscuits and sliced them instead of just ripping them into chunks... and it came out amazing! I will definitely be making this again.

Mexican Rice II

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2008
My boyfriend loved this rice, but I wasn't too thrilled by it. It seemed to be missing something. I'll probably keep this as a base and then tweak with it a little bit more. Also, I cooked it in the rice cooker as suggested by another user... it came out way better than any rice i've made in a skillet, will definitely do again.

Delicious Beef Tongue Tacos

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2008
I was hesitant to try this recipe, but boy am I glad I did try it! I changed a couple of things tho, I added chicken bullion to the water, and I cooked it on high for 5 hours for a 4.5lb tongue... It came out amazing! So tender and full of flavor, I will definitely be making this again!
