Born and raised in Southern California. Married my wonderful husband and lived in Brooklyn, NY for over 25 years. I have traveled around the country and world so I enjoy many different kinds of food and cooking styles. I am a work in progress and that is why I liked this web site...great for input it is almost like cooking school. Recently moved back to CA and trying to get used to the weather here...it is just too nice. I miss Brooklyn!
My favorite things to cook
Anything that tastes great and is pretty simple to make. However I just love complex recipes too, but don't have the time to get to those yet.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Anniversaries at our house growing up were fabulous! We went all out with all the trimmings. My Grandmother [was] and Mother is a great cook so I think of those times and smile.
My cooking triumphs
When I have a dinner party and everyone stops talking to eat. That tells me it must be good. Don't you think?
My cooking tragedies
Nacho Cheese sauce for a crowd...what a disaster. It completely separated and looked terrible. It was for a group of young hungry men they didn't seem to mind. But I sure did.

Creamy Cheesy Scrambled Eggs with Basil
You're right on using sour cream in eggs. It is a great dairy item to use even without the cheese. This is a great variation on a brilliant theme. My favorite is chive but any herb will do just great. ENJOY!

Tomozzakala Salad
You cannot go wrong with this salad. A wonderful twist on Italian Caprese Insalata. I always make the standard but now will add this to my repertoire. Thanks for the idea!
