My Country Style Steak

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2008
This recipe was yummy! I didn't have a pack of onion soup mix so I substituted 2 packs of brown gravy mix and it turned out great!

Oven Pot Roast

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2008
This roast was very good! I did ,however, substitute Beefy Onion soup mix and golden mushroom soup in the recipe because that's what I had on hand and used water in place of the Vermouth. My husband is very particular when I try recipes and I normally wait for his pros and cons of the recipe but he thought it was good and ate seconds!

Too Much Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2008
I had previously made the Double Chocolate Brownie Cake from this site which is very similar(uses 1/2 oil and 3.9 oz pudding) and found that the results were much better. I would suggest using 1/2 cup of oil in this recipe to obtain delicious results! It's amazing how an extra 1/2 of oil can make such a big difference in the outcome.

Savory Turkey Gravy

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2008
I have a family member who made this for Thanksgiving today minus the celery salt and it was delicious. Everyone always loves this gravy!

Honey Butter Yule Ham

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2008
The ham was very moist and tender. I mixed the butter, honey, and 1 tsp of ground cloves. The mixture smelled divine and I was excited to taste the finished ham. I used a Smithfield Ham for the recipe but I expected the results to be more grand. It just didn't have "Wow" results.

Chicken-Baked Chops

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2008
This recipe was easy to make and the pork chops were very tender. I'm not fond of Worcestershire Sauce so I didn't like the gravy. The gravy did have a nice color and for someone who likes Worcestershire Sauce this would be a wonderful recipe to try. I think I will try the recipe again and add very little of the Worcestershire Sauce.

Slow Cooker Garlic Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2008
After reading one of the other reviews, I decided to use Russet potatoes(I'm not fond of red potatoes). The recipe was easy, however, it was not like I expected. I initially was looking for a recipe to use for Thanksgiving but I opted for making mashed potatoes the traditional way.

Grandma's Corn Bread Dressing

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2008
This dressing was wonderful! I normally don't eat dressing but I even like this recipe. I added about 3/4 a package of cooked sausage, which gave it nice flavor and only used about 2 teaspoons of sage(not a big fan of sage). Everyone wanted the recipe...this is definitely a keeper!

No Bake Peanut Butter Pie

This recipe is very yummy, I couldn't quit tasting the filling. I only used 1 8oz tub of whipped topping for my pies and they turned out delicious!

Mom's Baked Macaroni and Cheese

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2008
Per other reviews, I used 2 cans of cheddar cheese soup, however, I used shredded mild cheddar cheese. My family didn't like this as well as I thought they would. I may try the recipe again with Colby cheese and see if they like it better that way.

Unbelievable Rolls

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2008
I'm rating this recipe a 3 due to its simple instructions, however, I apparently did something very wrong because my rolls tasted somewhat like a biscuit and weren't very soft. I made sure to read many reviews and make mental notes of suggestions. I was so excited to try the recipe but disappointed at my results. I guess bread making is not my thing:)

Double Chocolate Brownie Cake

I followed this recipe exactly and it was very moist. I used the "Easy chocolate bundt cake glaze" from this site. I prefer this cake warm, so this afternoon I heated it up in the microwave.

Cake with Buttercream Decorating Frosting

This frosting is taste great. I received many compliments and requests for the recipe. I calculated the recipe for 5 servings and had enough frosting to decorate 24 cupcakes generously and had extra left.
