About this Cook
Sooo, the main thing about me is I LOVE SWEETS. My main weaknesses are chocolate, cookies, cheesecake..., and did I mention chocolate? Since I'm still in High School, I love to come home after a long tiring day at school and bake something fantastic for my family. My step mother and Mom were the two people who got me into baking, first my step mom when i was five made me learn how to make different types of cookies withou a mixer, a har task when your five years old! My mom always made sure that me and my siblings knew if we wanted money, we had to work for it. So I've been baking things from age seven until now and taking them around me neighborhood to sell, that was my primary source of income and still is! Of course, as the years have gone by, my baking has improved/adjusted and as my customers love to complain about, my prices have too. But over all, my neighboors have very supportive of me (even through the days when baking soda bars were my specialty, =D hehe).
My favorite things to cook
Anything, everything, but in particular, cookies, Cookies, COOKIES! And any other desserts I have the ingredients to make. I generally bake unless it's my night to cook dinner, then I look at the ingredient and make up a recipe, those are the best dinners! my favortie so far is my smokey beef bacon with mango-pomegranate sauce stir fry, hopefully I'll remeber the measurements so I can post it one of these days!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Well, we have tons of them, but lets see... Every thanxgiving, at my dad's house we make stuffed turkey, spicy fried king fish, curry goat (Jamaican style of course), rice and peas, and apple pie cheesecake. At my mom's place we do a chicken fiasco! We make fried chicken, BBQ freid chicken, baked chicken, curry chicken (middle eastern style), and stuffed chicken. Along with that is a baked broccoli au gratin, mac-n-cheese, biscuits, apple fritters, brownies, cheesecake bars, chocolate chip cookies, oatmeal chocolate chip cookies, and peanut butter cookies.
My cooking triumphs
well, most recently I would have to say this amazing chili, dulce le leche cheesecake, oreo cheesecake, tortilla de potata, eggless peanut butter cookies, and four layer pumkin-coconut-chocolate cream pie! but there are so many others as well.
My cooking tragedies
whew! couldn't name a quarter of them if i tried!

Coconut Cream Pie
the recipe was delicious! I added 1 thing but followed everything else to the "T". I added chocolate. I melted 1/2 cup chocolate chips in a double broiler on low and then poured the chocolate on the crust before I put the coconut batter in, it come out fantastic. Be sure to either use a pasrty brush or spoon to evenly spread the chocolate on the crust, comes out like a thin laver of a chocolate and tastes similar to a mounds candy bar. yummm!

Chewy Coconut Cookies
AMAZING! When I made these cookies everyone raved, I ate so many of them (probably shouldn't have) and they were just plain good. I did however make a few changes. I used 1 1/4 cup of coconut instead of 1 1/3cup. Also, I used 2/3cup of white chocolate chips and it came out so delicious. thanx for posting!
