Honey Roasted Red Potatoes

Reviewed: Jul. 21, 2009
These were good -- followed the recipe exactly. I will make these again. Used some garlic too because I use it for everything :D Carmelized perfectly on the potatoes.

Original Blue Cheese Coleslaw

Reviewed: Jul. 21, 2009
This was soooo good! I liked eating it best right away better than leftover the next day. I omitted the celery and didn't use a mix: instead I just used regular cabbage and a little red onion. I was looking for a way to use up my blue cheese and this is the way to go! Thanks for the recipe, jodi! I will use this again and again -- great twist on ordinary coleslaw!

Blue Cheese Burgers

Reviewed: Jul. 21, 2009
I had never had a blue cheese burger before, but now they're my favorite! I loved it. I only used the recipe for my beef patty: I will probably use more cheese next time. I served this with only BBQ sauce on top and it was perfect just like that! I will definitely make this again.

Bleu Cheese Coleslaw

Reviewed: Jul. 14, 2009
Used way less vinegar and sour cream, added lemon juice and green onion. Suppose you could say that I combined recipes from this site... :) LOVED IT!!!!, will definitely make again. Honestly, the best "doctored" cole slaw I've ever eaten.

Easy Pizza Sauce III

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2009
My first time making pizza sauce. Granted, I did add a lot more ingredients (e.g. sugar, garlic powder, salt, pepper, etc.) but I really enjoyed this recipe :) My boyfriend was skeptical of my pizza sauce because he's used to storebought kinds but he was pleased! I was too -- I thought it came out very well and I would definitely make it again.

Grill Dough

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2009
Grilled pizza is now one of my favorite foods :) I added more sugar, as suggested by other reviews, as well as cooking the dough on one side before adding toppings. Other than that I followed the recipe exactly and it turned out very well! I will definitely make this again. I used pesto, fresh tomatoes, bacon, provolone and mozzarella cheeses, and fresh garlic for mine.

Really tasty! Loved this over salad greens. I also added mushrooms, just to try it. I would definitely make this again.

Tomato-Cream Sauce for Pasta

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2009
Really good! I used fresh tomatoes and chicken broth instead of the canned tomatoes, and just used milk and sour cream instead of heavy cream. I will make this again, it was very good! I served it over chicken.

The Whole Jar of Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2009
Definitely a keeper! This was my first time making peanut butter cookies and it came out fabulous! I made them for my boyfriend's birthday party and they were ALL eaten up :) I followed some reviewer's advice and used crunchy peanut butter instead of smooth peanut butter and the peanuts. I followed the recipe exactly and will definitely use this one again. One mistake I made was that I refrigerated the dough overnight...this led to the dough being kinda dry and crumbly in the morning when I baked them. But, I just let it sit and warm up at room temperature and added a tiny bit of butter and the dough softened back up and was easy to use. I also had a problem with the dough sticking to my fork, but that too eased up when the dough softened, and I used some non-stick cooking spray on the fork. I usually don't bake but this has provoked me to try something else soon!

Quick and Easy Chicken Noodle Soup

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2009
This was very easy -- what I pictured making Chicken Noodle Soup would be like. I really enjoyed making this and will definitely use this recipe again. It's classic, basically foolproof, and everyone likes it :) I used olive oil instead of the butter (I will probably use butter next time, just to see if there's a difference) and also added one bay leaf for the last couple minutes of cooking. I didn't leave the leaf in there for too long because the kitchen started to smell like corned beef :P I took it out just in time.

Stuffed Eggplant Parmesan

Reviewed: Jun. 6, 2009
This was good; I just haven't ever had eggplant before and used this recipe to try it out. I drew the conclusion that I just need to get used to the taste of eggplant ;) I salted it, as suggested, for a long time (about 45 mins) but it was still pretty bitter. I used plenty of salt but maybe I just needed to use more. As well, I disliked the pasta sauce I used so that really contributed to my distaste. But, honestly, I will probably make this again, but with a pasta sauce that I enjoy.

Baked Potato Soup

Reviewed: Jun. 4, 2009
I omitted the half-and-half and raised the milk:broth ratio (I put in more milk). I also omitted the hot sauce. It was really good, easy, and I will make this again! I would suggest to not let it sit for very long because it will really thicken up!

Chicken Oriental

Reviewed: May 21, 2009
This was pretty good. I didn't use wings - I just used breasts. I used all of the ingredients to scale but I added just a touch of sesame oil and a little more brown sugar. I was kinda worried that it would just taste like BBQ sauce but it didn't! :P The chicken was nice and tender and I would definitely use this recipe again when I'm sick of my "other" chicken recipe. And another thing: I used the recipe for only two bigger breasts and that was just enough. If you want a lot of sauce for four people I would double the recipe, especially if you decide to reduce the sauce a little.

Gyro Steak Salad (with Tzatziki dressing)

Reviewed: May 19, 2009
Honestly, this recipe only gave me the idea of having a steak salad for dinner. I didn't use any pita and used a different Tzatziki dressing from this site (Tzatziki Sauce I). Other than that, the rest of the ingredients came from this recipe. I really enjoyed it. I had never had a salad with steak before this and I found that I liked it. The steak itself was really good, too :) I would make this again.

Tzatziki Sauce I

Reviewed: May 19, 2009
I've made this twice recently; the second time I forgot about the olive oil but the sauce was still really good. I also added some italian seasoning because other recipes had mentioned adding parsley or oregano so I figured it might just add a little more. I used this on a salad -- since i've tried it i've really grown to like it! I will definitely use this again.
