Grew up in Papua New Guinea until I went to boarding school in Penang, Malaysia for high school. Great food in Penang-la! College, culinary school. I've cooked in PNG, Malaysia, Vietnam, Morocco, Burma, New Zealand and US of A and hope to get a chance to get more variety as well!

When I made lovely meringues when I was about 10 with an egg beater after my mother said it would be impossible at our altitude (5,000 feet).
My cooking tragedies
Having a huge bottle of honey fall on my head from a high shelf in the dry storage room. Luckily it was Sunday night and not very busy and the Sous Chef let me go home.
