Homemade Fresh Cheese

Very good- and easier than I thought (considering that I didn't have any cheesecloth!!!) I added herbs, garlic and a little more salt and spread it on German-style "black bread." I cannot wait to embark on more cheese-making adventures!!! PS a note for others, if your milk doesn't coagulate well, you have the choice of returning to heat or adding more vinegar- in view of the fact that the extra vinegar will alter the flavor, I went for more heat. If you save the whey you can make ricotta! (1/4 cup of vinegar for 2 gallons of whey)

Chicken Jalfrezi

This was really delicious and easy to make- I didn't have ghee- because I live in the middle of no where, and I didn't feel like making any, so I just used butter...yeah, I know, a little lame. After reading other peoples reviews, I realized that I best put a tablespoon of sambal in it and an extra tablespoon of chili powder. It turned out fantastically! I will certainly make this again. Woot! Woot!

Hash Brown Quiche

I think that I didn't let the hash browns cook long enough- the eggs were absorbed into the potatoes and they were soggy. Boo-hiss- but it was a user error. I will try it again.

Fabulous! I'll admit that I was nervous when I let the dough sit overnight and it looked like bread- but I fried it up and it was just like how I remember them tasting. The neighbors were impressed!

Spaghetti Pie III

Very good. I recommend mixing the cream cheese mixture and pasta sauce into the noodles before topping with cheese- otherwise the noodles won't stick together.

Crispy Herb Baked Chicken

OK, so I was sort of scared of using instant potatoes ever- but this was REALLY naughty and delicious. We used a four cheese flavored variety and real parmigiano reggiano. I will absolutely make this again.

Praline Pecans

Yummy. Just like how I remember them in New Orleans! Except don't try to be more clever than the recipe: I didn't have wax paper and thought to myself, "Self, I'll bet I can just put these on a cookie sheet." Yeah, not a good idea. Still tasty, but now I cannot pawn these off on people at work like I usually do...

Basic Crepes

I just made crepes for the first time using this recipe. I had to add more water because the batter was too thick. I made savory crepes with chicken, spinach and a bechamel sauce- great dinner!

Crabby Cream Cheese Wontons

I made this without the crab and used avocado. I also made a desert batch: I mixed some vanilla, cinnamon and brown sugar in the cream cheese, diced up strawberries and put in a few chocolate chips. After frying I sprinkled brown sugar and cinnamon on top- oh baby!!!
