About this Cook
I enjoying fixing mostly dinners and company meals and making quilts. I am a retired school secretary. MY husband and I have a big garden that he enjoys since his retirement, we are fisherman, hunters, and snowmachiners. Out of pocket I have published a cookbook sell from home, consist of our fish and game of Alaska, also vegetables, apetizers, breads, cookies and candy dishes.
My favorite things to cook
Pasta dishes, one pot meals, and breakfast casseroles.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My daughter and I with our husbands will get together and cann moose meat for our fast meals, also she and I will cann several kinds of pickles with vegetables from the garden.
My cooking triumphs
We purchased an electric pressure cooker from a second hand shop, and many times when I know I am going to be busy with a quilt, I would put the moose roast or ribs and set the timer and an hour before dinner my main meat is done, and with this I can decide what type of meal to have for our evening meal, i.e. french dip or reuben sandwichs, shredded meat bbq or tacos or just good ole sliced meat, potatoes with gravy.
My cooking tragedies
I am just learning how to deep fry vegetables, breads, meat, and fish

Best Ziti Ever
This dish is a large meal! Especially for the 4 of us. I should have cooked the pasta to al-dente instead of the time amount for the pasta, because 45 minutes later my noodles were over cooked and the dish was a little on the dry side.
