Sour Cream Apple Pie Deluxe

i'm giving it a 5 because i altered the recipe and maybe if i followed it exactly it would have tasted even better. i doubled the amount of apples and sour cream and it was too sour cream-y, but the flavor was still excellent and i will not double the sour cream next time. oh i also doubled the topping which is a must! i added some quick oats to the topping and it gave it a delicious added crunch!

Pie Crust IV

this was my first time making pie crust. it was super easy!!! i through it all in my food processor with the pastry blade. i added 1/2 tsp of sugar and i only needed half of the amount of ice water. i did not refrigerate it and the result was a perfect flaky crust!

Easy Cream Cheese Danish

i did the slicing into rounds instead of the pan version. the cream cheese part was deelish, the crescent roll part was not appetizing. very artificial and buttery in a bad way. maybe i'll try others' suggestions and use phyllo dough.

Bread Pudding II

my first attempt at making bread pudding. used a whole [small] loaf of honey wheat bread, 1 cup of egg beaters [equivalent to 4 eggs], 1/2 c white sugar, 1/2 c brown sugar, and the rest as posted. the consistency was great, more solid than bread puddings i've had before, but it definitely wasn't very sweet. i'm glad someone said they put the vanilla sauce [from this site] on top of it because it wouldn't have been as good. that being said, i just ate half the pan by myself! :]

Vanilla Sauce

i also used this on top of bread pudding II. i did not have cornstarch on hand so just used flour instead i mixed one cup of sugar to one cup of water and put that on the stove on high. then i mixed 2 tbs of flour with 1/4 c of water in a bowl till well mixed and dumped it in the sugar water mix. after it boiled and cooked for a minute, i took it off the heat and added 2 tbs butter. (make sure you use real butter because it tastes much better!!!) then i dumped it on my still warm out of the oven bread pudding... delicious!

i made the recipe exactly as written except i used splenda instead of sugar and it did not taste good. they were soft, but crumbly and very salty. i did use salted butter.

Chocolate Chip Muffins

a little bland, but kids enjoy these. i did change the recipe by using 1c milk, 1/2c oil, and 1c regular choc chips instead of what was written. i also added 2tbs sour cream, 1/4c of brown sugar, 1/2 tsp cinnamon, and 1tsp vanilla to improve the flavor. i also added walnuts to the "adult batch" which tasted delicious. make sure you do the sugar topping, it really adds a nice touch!

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

followed the recipe and was very disappointed. after baking filling was "watery" and the flavor was just ok, , bottom crust wasn't cooked all the way and the top crust was a little too dark. will not make again.

Libby's® Pumpkin Roll with Cream Cheese Filling

i've wanted to make this for a year and this thanksgiving i finally got up the courage to try it and it surprisingly turned out beautifully! here are my tips: i added a 1/2 teaspoon more cinnamon, i baked the roll on a cookie sheet because i did not have a jelly roll pan, i used paper towel sprinkled with powdered sugar instead of a cloth towel, and i did not use all the cream cheese filling because i felt that it was too much for the roll. hope these helped and happy thanksgiving! :]

Deep Dish Brownies

most amazing brownies ever. read other reviews so i added 1/4c cocoa powder, an additional 3tsp splenda, and extra chocolate chips to make it even more chocolatey. it's so easy and delicious that i vow to never make "box brownies" again!
