my first attempt at making bread pudding. used a whole [small] loaf of honey wheat bread, 1 cup of egg beaters [equivalent to 4 eggs], 1/2 c white sugar, 1/2 c brown sugar, and the rest as posted. the consistency was great, more solid than bread puddings i've had before, but it definitely wasn't very sweet. i'm glad someone said they put the vanilla sauce [from this site] on top of it because it wouldn't have been as good. that being said, i just ate half the pan by myself! :]
