Brown Sugar Brownies

GREAT! The Perfect thing about this Recipe is that you can put anything in it. I'm now going to use this for a Base whenever I make Blondies. I did Double the recipe and put it in a 9x13 pan. (for those who have trouble spreading the batter in the pan, you can smooth it out with Wet Hands.) Thanks!

Red Pepper-Salmon Pasta

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2008
Great Recipe! The Salmon came out Perfect! I sprinkled the cilantro on top of the Salmon before cooking and I did add a pat of butter and a bit of cream to the sauce. I also used a multi-grain pasta. Will be using this recipe again! Thanks!

Minnesota Pork Chops

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2008
Easy and Tasty! I sauteed some onions and mushrooms (fresh NOT canned), and I used 1 cup of vegetable stock and 1/2 cup water instead of using bouillon. I also used Boneless Thick Pork Chops as I was concerned about everything cooking evenly. Everything came out very well. The Pork Chops were perfect and the rice was tender. Thank you!

Old Fashioned Coconut Cream Pie

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2008
I LOVED THIS PIE! Coconut Cream has always been a favorite of mine, and this is the best one I've EVER had! I did take the advice of some of the other reviews and I toasted the coconut. I also used only 2 cups of half and half and used a cup of coconut milk as well. YU-UM!

Strawberry Cream Pie

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2008
Great Pie! I will confess I used a prepared crust (GASP!) I know, I know. But I haven't mastered crusts yet. I'm actually glad I did because this is quite a heavy pie. The filling was creamy and YUM-MY! (My advice to those whose didn't set right - You need to cook the filling until it is THICK! Not just thickened, THICK! We're talkin' wallpaper paste people. Cook it over Medium to Medium-High Heat and Constantly Stir.) Anywho, I also threw the Strawberries in a bowl with about a cup of Sugar and chilled for about an hour (or until they get juicy) I used the Strawberries in the pie and used the juice to make whipped cream to top off the pie. Spectacular! I think next time, because the filling is so heavy, I'll make smaller Tarts instead of a whole pie.

White Bean Chicken Chili

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2008
Great Recipe! Great Flavor! I did add another can of beans, and a can of Fire Roasted Tomatoes instead of regular diced, and I used frozen Sweet Corn (can't get fresh around here this time of year). And if you're Brave try throwing in some Pickled Jalapenos. YUM!
