About this Cook
I love to cook easy meals that make me look like a gourmet! The ingredients can be hard to find, but if the meal is spectacular I don't care. I enjoy cooking only for others, when alone a bowl of left overs or even cereal will do!
My favorite things to cook
ethnic inspired, flavorful meals. No baking for me.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mom's buttery whipped potatoes and "fall off the bone" ribs.
My cooking triumphs
I know a good recipe when I see the list of ingredients. I've never really made anything I couldn't save. I'm the one people call for recipe ideas. No, I have not won awards for my cooking, but my friends and family love it and that is fine with me.
My cooking tragedies
Once, when I was a teen I offered to help Mom with her buttery whipped potatoes. I insisted that it was fine to boil the potatoes without peeling them first. Being lazy truthfully! Have you ever tried to peel a boiling hot potato fresh from the pot?

Blueberry Crisp II
To be sure I would not have a doughy crisp, I added 2 tablespoons each of corn meal and oatmeal to the original recipe. That took care of the problem and I think made it even better! Delicious!!

Amazing Spicy Grilled Shrimp
Fantastic! I've handed this recipe out to about a dozen people! I really would not change a thing. Please splurge on the meaty Ex. Lrg. or Col. shrimp, and no pre-cooked shrimp in order to cut corners! You will love it.
