Here are my cookbooks.  They look terrible, but I don't really have a place for them.  What do you do with yours?  I really need my counter space so I need to move them.  What to do.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.  TIA
What a mess

I can't stand any clutter personally, so I keep only a couple of cookbooks, especially since I have AllRecipes and I put the rest away in a kitchen cabinet.

Maybe in the garage. No extra cabinet space. Thanks.

How about in a basket on the counter or putting the basket somewhere out of the way?

We have a pair of small cabinets above the stove which aren't really useful to store much that we would use frequently, so that's where the cookbooks live.

Buy a cool shelf that is just for cookbooks. Kind of like a piece of art on the wall.

Have you seen those "floating" bookshelves around? They are so cool! If you have some extra wallspace in the kitchen, I bet those would look cool! --> http://www.smartfurniture.com/shop/catalog.product.asp?product_ID=330633set&ARSImage=/shop/images/catalog/assembly.330633set.real.second.jpg&NewSku=105676-102&att=186

I collected cookbooks for many years. I loved my collection and displayed them on a shelf in my kitchen. Last month, I stunned my daughter by selling them in a yard sale. For several years I have been using Allrecipes almost exclusively and other internet sites occasionally. Cookbooks? Who needs 'em. Maybe it's time for you to let go too.

I have quite a few cookbooks myself - most of them found their way into our home office (we have built-in bookshelves there), but I keep a few around the kitchen. My plan (after I'm finished reorganizing!) is to keep the few I refer to often on my counter, and get some cool bookends. Either that, or maybe keep them on top of the fridge? Not sure yet...

Mine are on the top shelf of my enclosed pantry. I have a 4X6 box for my AR recipes, and the one I used the most - Joy of Cooking. All the rest go on the top shelf. Oh, I keep my son's cookbooks at his level in the pantry also. I'm thinking of using the space in the cabinets over the fridge, too.

I ended up putting them in the garage.

Mine are stuffed into a cabinet in the kitchen and on a library shelf in the den. I simply have waaaaaay too many!

Love that idea, thanks. I have no place to put the shelf though.

If I had a good veiw of your kitchen I might suggest something, otherwise as a decorator it is hard to give an idea without seeing the entire room. For myself, I had a custom made shelf made just underneath my island at the end of it, to store my cook books and it looks great, with all different colored covers it gives the kitchen character and a sense of coziness as books do in any room.

I have always been a big fan of bookshelves over a door way. I know it may sound quirky but if you check out some pictures you may like the look. It is out of the way and as long as you have a foot stool in your kitchen (which being only 5"0 it is a necessity) you'll be able to access them fine.!!!

Right outside my kitchen is the dining room. I have a small book shelf. Only 3 shelves on it. I put all my cookbook in the bookcase. Then I put a pretty table cloth to cover everything.
