I hate peeling, but with this cute little peeler it isn't that bad.  You slip it on your finger and just peel away.  Your hand is closer to what you are peeling so it is easier.  It is very handy and I find it much better that the long peelers.  I bought the peeler at bed, bath, and beyond.
As for the zester, I love the (I think you call them) microplane graters or zesters.  I bought it online.  It works great for nutmeg or citrus zest.  I was having a heck of a time with zesting citrus until I bought this gadget.  It's wonderful.  Both items are worth buying to save both time and frustration.

I have that same peeler I got at a store in our mall and LOVE it - so easy to use (I have rheumatoid arthritis, so it's easier to use this than a regular peeler for me!)
