Good but too salty for my taste. I worked out a lower salt, low fat version in "Custom" section

I left out the cheese. It didn't need it. Very good.

Simple BBQ Ribs

Easy and good. I agree with others to season the boiling water well, adding soy sauce, onion, etc. Sweet Baby Ray's is my go-to sauce.

Mexican Bean Salad

Thank you for posting a recipe that I used to make all the time. I lost the cookbook, and was never able to duplicate the taste. You did it. A great alternative to baked beans at the picnics. Thanks again!

Best Ever Sausage with Peppers, Onions, and Beer!

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2009
Cooking in the beer first gets a lot of the fat out. I will use this trick more often with sausage dishes. Then I just moved to the crock pot and served right out of that for a party. Very good. Thanks.

Maryland Crab Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2009
I give it the max stars because it is unusual to get a crab soup recipe that is true to the Baltimore tradition. I agree with others, add cubed potatoes, some crushed tomatoes and even some chopped cabbage to thicken it up. Use low sodium broth if you put the full amount or more of Old Bay. Great thanks!

The Flourless Cake I recipe is slightly better, but this one is so much easier to make that I always make this one. Great recipe!!!

Beef Tenderloin With Roasted Shallots

wowed my husband and parents on Father's Day with this one. I usually cut my tenderloin into filets and grill them. This was a more formal and delicious presentation. I agree with everyone else, the gravy is fabulous!

Traditional Osso Buco

Reviewed: Jun. 26, 2009
Very good. I was nervous about cooking the veal shank for the first time, but I wanted to try. This was very good. Definitely serve with the traditional risotto or rice. Broth was too thin for pasta.

Very nice recipe. I stuck to it since it was my first time with lamb chops, and it turned out very good. My dinner guests were complimentary.

Delicious, but I actually like it best without the avocado. I agree with the person who posted it, I add it to a lot of different dishes. Thanks for a great recipe

Mom's Coleslaw

Thank you! My husband loves cole slaw but is soooo picky about the type. This is not too mayonnaisy or soupy, just the right amount of sweet and vinegar. I bet I have made 10 different recipes for him and this was the first with thumbs up (and the easiest!!) Thanks.

Very good, but congeals pretty quickly unless you have a warming plate under it. Right out of the oven it is fabulous though. Thanks for the recipe.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie

I agree with the other reviewers. Less powdered sugar or the pb layer is too dense. More pudding and slightly thicken the recipe. The flavor is spot on though. The pb layer tastes like Reese's Cups peanut butter!!

Wonderful Short Ribs

Very good. I stuck with the recipe except for I started by searing them off in a hot oven for 20 minutes or so, then tranferred to a crock pot for the rest of the time. Turned out delicious and I didn't have to watch over them. Thanks for the recipe.

Balsamic Roasted Pork Loin

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2008
Delicious as is. It was not too strong for me as some others have stated, but I did use a pretty large (whole) pork loin. I have served it for a sit down dinner, and it was also great sliced thin for sandwiches at a football party. Thanks for an easy recipe that tastes delicious!
