About this Cook
I am 41 years old and retired eight months ago. I owned a Color Tile store and a GCO Carpet Outlet Store for 14 years. Being in Retail was rough not seeing much of my children. My four boys are 11,9,3 & 2 years of age. It is awesome being able to stay at home with them and make up for all the time spent at the STORES rather than at home. I am also really getting into cooking ....it is my "theraputic time" at the end of a long day with the "little ones"!! I am getting to make so many different meals and this web site is a huge factor!! Thanks everyone for the recipes and advice/comments on the dishes.
My favorite things to cook
Anything...as long as i can eat it too!!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Italian
My cooking triumphs
Tropical Mango Salsa Pork Chops...this recipe from this site was totally awesome. My father and step mother were down from New York and i cooked this dish up and blew everyone away...including myself. I am not a big fan of mango...but this dish was very very good!!

Tropical Grilled Pork Chops
This was one excellent meal !!! If you want a change up for your pallet from the typical pork chop....this is it!! nice blend of flavors with a tad bit of a bite to it (not too much though the kids still liked it!!!). Cooked it for my family and parents whom happened to be in town and all loved it.

Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup
SUPERB!!! I like spicey foods but sometimes its a bit too much for the kids. This dish had just enough bite for me and not too much at all for the children...real treat for whole family.
