About this Cook
In my 50's-three children-1 grandchild-married 37 years to a picky eater. meat and potatoes guy...don't let any food touch he would be happy with one of those seperated plates. It has been interesting disquising ingredients that he swears he hates but eats all the time. My children grew up loving everything except banana's (their dad hates them.)
My favorite things to cook
Italian also I love to experiment with things I have on hand and just create something different. Some of those experiments have worked great and some have not! I don't do desserts at all....not a baker at all. But main dishes and side dishes are my specialty. I am not a beef eater, and limit myself to fish and chicken on occasion. Vegetables are my all time favorite. I still cook beef for my "beef lovers" but I am happy with the sides and salads. I grow my own herbs and try to use fresh or my dried ones to add so much more flavor to foods.

Horseradish Crab Dip
Thought it was a bit bland, we love horseradish so not enough tang for us.

Shrimp and Avocado Cocktail
This is wonderful, very light and refreshing salad, served in martini glasses, easy to do and even avacado haters(my husband) really enjoyed it.
