About this Cook
I'm married with 4 kids; ages 20(in college) 11, 9 & 6, and work full time. My mother in law lives with us and we have a brand new puppy! So...they all keep me pretty busy.
My favorite things to cook
I LOVE baking!! It's a real stress reliever for me. I especially love anything with carmel, toffee flavor or peanut butter.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My kids and I love to make cookies and candy to give to their teachers for Christmas gifts. Of course we have to test what we make and that's the best part!!
My cooking triumphs
Cooking something everyone will like is a huge triumph for me!!
My cooking tragedies
I was helping my mother-in-law make a golf ball shaped cake for a cake contest she was having at work. The cake stuck to the pan and the frosting was a mess...but somehow we pulled it together and it looked pretty good...at least from a distance. :)

Mississippi Mud Cake II
Great recipe. I made this the first time last May for my son's teachers. I didn't try it since it was a gift but they loved it. However, the icing seemed thin with lumps of butter. Apparently I didn't mix it long enough. So when I made it again I let it mix for about 2-3 minutes on medium speed and it turned out perfect. Thanks for the great recipe!

Strawberry Jam
This was my first time to make jam and it turned out great! I couldn't believe how relatively easy this was. This made 4 1/2 half pint jars for me. I already have requests to make for some friends. Thanks for sharing!!
