Cinnamon Bread w/ Chocolate
Happy family
About this Cook
I am married to a beautiful woman, and we both love to cook. However, we both hate the clean up after the cooking. We have a lot of fun cooking together. Some of our most enjoyable conversations are dealing with her trying to figure out what I added into the meal and telling me to stick to the recipe. I love her so much.
My favorite things to cook
Dessert, but I don't get to often. We really enjoy slow-cooker recipes. Since we are both full-time workers, and I'm also a full-time graduate student, the ease of slow-cooking has saved us from eating cereal every night. Slow-cooking recipes, casseroles, and Mexican food generally comprise our main eating habits due to time. We like to take a recipe and figure out ways to cut back on fat and calories while increasing the flavor and making it our own.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I love it when everyone is in the kitchen altogether and helping prepare a meal.
My cooking triumphs
I worked as a summer camp cook in the summer of 2004 in Colorado. I did a lot of main dishes, but found my specialty to be dessert. I came up with a delectable peanut butter chocolate cake that always got rave reviews.
My cooking tragedies
My wife would agree with this one. Vanilla extract, even the smallest dose, does not taste good in tea.

Cinnamon Bread I
This is a good breakfast bread. It's not overly sweet, unless you add some chocolate chips in it like I did. It was very good and filling. I made buttermilk by using 1 tbs white vinegar and 1 c skim milk.

Best Brownies
The taste was great. However, this recipe ended up being more of a semi-dense chocolate cake and not brownies. Loved the chocolate glaze mixture.

Chicken Piccata I
Pretty good base recipe to really let your personality and style come out in preparation. You can add, deduct, or whatever to truly own this recipe.
