About this Cook
I'm just your typical small town gal. I am married to a pretty great guy and we have 4 pets: 3 dogs and 1 cat - the cat is mine...ha ha ha. I enjoy cooking, gardening, scrapbooking and spending time with family and friends.
My favorite things to cook
I love baking desserts. Anything sweet and easy! I'm always looking for main dishes too...my husband is kind of picky and so I try to broaden his horizons with different foods. I have finally gotten him to eat his veggies. That's only taken 4 years ha ha ha!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Baking Christmas cookies & candy with my grandma -we made sugar cookies, yum-yum bars, buckeyes, divinity and so much more. My job was dipping the buckeyes, sprinkling the sugar cookies and being the taster! However, my uncles did a great job at that too.
My cooking triumphs
Preparing Easter dinner for my husband's family and everything turning out.
My cooking tragedies
My best friend has this enchilada recipe that I can not seem to master. It flops every time I make it.

Virginia Apple Pudding
So simple and good! My husband and I really enjoyed it. I took it to a family dinner and everyone ate it up. I followed the directions as stated excluding the apples being applied to the batter. I spooned them over the entire batter than baked. Once it came out I made a bread pudding glaze to put over the top! It was EXCELLENT!!!

Pizza Casserole
This is very much like crockpot pizza. Same concept as the casserole you just layer the ingredients in a crockpot and place on low for 4 hours or until cheese is melted. I prefer sprial noodles instead of egg noodles for the crockpot they hold better.

Chocolate Crinkles II
These were my favorite cookies as kid. My grandma, who was an awesome cook, always made a huge batch of these for Christmas. Yummy!
