About this Cook
I love my kids and me i love cooking i have been cooking my whole life. My youngest daughter helped me with my profile. Isn't she sweet!
My favorite things to cook
Anything that makes the people I cook for smile. I love to take requests from people.
My favorite family cooking traditions
thanksgiving
My cooking triumphs
chicken alfredo (her favorite dish) :)
My cooking tragedies
Pecan Pie for some reason it is always runny. I made a Pecan Pie when I was 9 years old and it came out perfect. Now after I have been cooking all this time I try to master the pecan pie and it is runny. I guess I have issues with pies period. My apple pie was a disaster as well! But I can make pecan pie bars or apple cobbler and those come out wonderful? I will keep trying!

Scrumptious Salisbury Steak in Mushroom Gravy
This was really good! I did not drain the grease and only used half the butter. I did add onion to the mushrooms and the meat, I also did half the amount of milk and a can of beef broth. Oh I used regular saltine crackers because that is what I had.

Country Apple Dumplings
These were wonderful! I don't normally make things that aren't "homemade", but my kids wanted me to make these and they said they were better than all other desserts...

Oven-Fried Catfish
This was really a great recipe! It was just as crispy as if I had fried the fish. The spices were great (I did not add thyme). I served with cole slaw and dirty rice. WONDERFUL!
