Chocolate Mint Dessert Brownies

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2009
I agree - you can use the topping on any brownie recipe. My son asked for this instead of cake on his birthday! My son made it once with creme de menthe, and he says he liked it better with mint flavoring.

Jenny's Black Forest Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2009
I made this recipe exactly as written, and baked it in 2 8-inch round cake pans. The batter was very liquid. After 30 minutes of baking, the batter had oozed out all over the oven, and what was left in the pans was still jiggly inside with a baked crust on top. What did I do wrong? Everyone else seems to love it, and it looked so good. :(

Heart Attack Eggs

I applaud allrecipes for posting items like this that the newest of cooks can follow. And I agree, bacon grease is the only way to fry your eggs. I too keep a jar of bacon grease in the fridge for oh-so-many flavorful uses.

Brown Rice

This recipe is almost identical to one that has been in my family for many years and everyone loves it. However, my recipe calls for oregano, not basil, so all those reviewers who had a problem with the basil might give oregano a try. I like the idea of adding a can of French Onion Soup (my recipe just calls for consomme).

Moist and Chewy Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2008
These are fabulous! I had quit making peanut butter cookies because mine were so dry and crumbly, but my kids begged me to try again. This recipe was the solution I needed. I made the changes suggested by other reviewers, using 3/4 cup peanut butter, 1/2 to 1 tsp. of vanilla, the stated amount of brown sugar, and half the amount of white sugar. I pressed a bite-sized piece of Hershey milk chocolate bar into the top of each cookie before baking, and they were a big hit.
