Boilermaker Tailgate Chili

I followed Nhi Torres (11/15/05) suggestions and the Chili was great. The chili was for an outdoor fall party and there were two crock pots of chili. By the end of the evening, mine was GONE and the other was not. I would not call myself a cook at all so I was amused at all the people who asked me for my recipe. Has such a nice bite to it.

Marinated Grilled Shrimp

Fantastic. Doubled the marinade, added a little more cayenne, and the dish was a grand success. Already got a request to make again; good thing Costco's shrimp isn't too $$$$. Great recipe.

Southwestern Egg Rolls

My husband made these as his second foray into sharing the dinner duties. What a great job he did; these were fantastic. He followed another reviewers suggestion to bake instead of fry - great great great. The sauce was fabulous.

Mexican Bean Salad

I was looking for a vegetarian recipe and tried this because of the good recommendations. I was not expecting much but this really is a fantastic dish. I did not have either red or green peppers and this is still great. I just made it and have to make myself put it away until the family comes home for dinner. Make this salad, you will not be disappointed.

Skillet Ham, Cabbage and Potatoes

Really good. I sautéed the onions first then added everything, using chicken broth instead of water. I also added cheese right before I served it. Make this again.
