This is most definitely a five-star recipe, no doubt about it. I made this cake for a friend's birthday, and everyone loved it. People fought over who would get the last piece. The cake was light and moist and nicely chocolate-y, and the frosting was to die for. I melted more sweet German chocolate to use to decorate the top of the cake. I don't even like coconut, but *I* liked this cake. All in all, this cake was a dream, I'm definitely saving the recipe to make again and again.

This would have been five-star, except that I needed about two tablespoons more powdered sugar to make it sweet enough, and it took much longer than five minutes beating to get it the right consistency - closer to 20, actually. I used a metal bowl and left both bowl and whisk in the freezer for 15 minutes before making this. Other than that though, once it DID get to the right consistency and I added the extra sugar, this was perfect - light and fluffy and very, very good. I will definitely use it again.

This pie came out very tasty, even without the streusel topping. The only reason I'm giving this four instead of five stars is that, the pie was very good, but lacked that little something to make it just perfect. I think adding 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves would be the perfect touch to make this a five-star recipe.
