Scalloped Cabbage Casserole

Pretty tasty. Doesn't take a large cabbage to make this dish.

Cabbage Rolls II

Excellent flavour, not difficult to make. I'm a vegetarian, so I substituted the meat with veggie ground round and it turned out great. I would definitely recommend using twice the amount of tomato sauce.

I don't like all the grease, but if you ad three more eggs, you can cook it as a quiche-type-thing in the oven. Just remember to grease the pan.

Cream of Celery Soup

I blended the vegetables into the soup instead of straining them. Might as well get the extra fibre. Also, I prefer to use a vegetable stock rather than chicken.

This had a very good flavour and I love that I was able to use up some of my bulgar wheat.

Very good. I added a tsp of peanut oil for a little extra peanut flavour.

Spring Vegetable Soup

Very easy to make. Just cutting up the fresh vegetables takes time, but it's worth it. I chose to use all organic vegetables and vegetable broth and slow-cooked it with dried chickpeas instead of the white beans.

Chap Chee Noodles

This was very tasty. The sesame seed oil makes it. I used cooked brown rice linguini noodles in place of the cellophane noodles and it turned out great.

Tasty. Although, instead of the oil soaked sun dried tomatoes, I just rehydrated 1/2 cup of dehydrated ones making about a cup of plump sun dried tomatoes.

Chickpea Curry

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2009
To use dry chickpeas instead of canned you will need to boil them for about 5 mins, discard the water, soak overnight, then cook in a pressure cooker for about ten mins. 1/2 tsp of gauram masala added just prior to serving makes a nice touch.

Candied Yams

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2009
Tastes pretty good, very easy to prepare the night before and just pop into the oven for dinner, too sweet for a main course meal, try candied yams with apples instead of marshmallows.

Corn Dogs

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2008
The batter tastes good, but I couldn't get it to stick to the hot dogs. The hot dogs were thawed and dry, but perhaps I used a corn meal that was too coarse-ground?
