I added potatoes, zuchinni, and some pepper and paprika. Great starting point though!

Oh my goodness, yum. I made these with no raisins and 1/4 cup of peanut butter, and holy cow they were devoured quickly.

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

I didn't change a thing except to add some cinnamon to the apples when I put them in the crust. This is the best apple pie recipe I've ever come across.

Melt - In - Your - Mouth Shortbread

This is the best shortbread I've ever made. I baked it for 10 minutes at 350 though, which made them much less likely to burn.

Libby's® Famous Pumpkin Pie

Reviewed: Oct. 8, 2011
I use this every thanksgiving, and it's always a hit. The only thing that I add is a thin layer of ground up pecans, brown sugar and butter on the bottom. Pre bake the crust with the pecans for 5 minutes, then take it out and add the filling. When you cut it open, there's a wonderful crunch at the bottom!

This is a great recipe! I didn't change a thing except to add half a cup of rum into the cake mix, making it extra moist

Maple Salmon

This was fantastic. The only thing I changed was doubling it, adding equal parts ginger and garlic, and marinating it for 4 hours. Delicious recipe :)

Plain and Simple Sourdough Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2009
I don't have a bread machine, and this recipe still works great with homemade sourdough starter. I usually double it, and use 3 cups or white flour and 2 1/3 cups of whole wheat. After 2 sessions of kneading and letting it rise, it comes out of the oven wonderfully fluffy with a fantastic crispy crust

Fantastic! I did half whole wheat and half white flour and they turned out perfectly. I'll definitely make this recipe again.

Red Skinned Potato Salad

This is fantastic. I tweaked a bit and added some dill, fresh parsley and green onion. Also, the second time around, I substituted the mayonnaise for sour cream and roasted garlic dip, making it a little bit more low fat.

Perfect proportions and everything, I just mixed dry with dry, and then added the eggs at the end. This makes it not turn out so lumpy.

Awesome recipe. The second time I made them, I used half whole wheat flour and half white flour to make it a little bit denser. I also doubled it as my room mates can vacuum these like nobody's business.

Pie Crust IV

Incredibly easy recipe, tastes delicious. The only thing I would do is add slightly less water as an entire cup makes it a little runny. Also, chill in the fridge for about a half hour before rolling it out and it's much easier to work with.

Good Old Fashioned Pancakes

These were tasty, but not as fluffy as in the picture. I'm sure I did everything as written, but they just didn't want to get that lovely and poofy. About halfway through the batter, I added some mashed up banana to the mix. Delicious!

Amish Bread

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2009
I don't have a bread maker, so I followed the comments of some of the other reviews and did it in my oven. I used 3 tsp of yeast, dissolved in the warm water for about 10 minutes or so, and 3 cups of flour. Mixed everything up, let it rise for about 30 minutes, kneaded it and let it rise again for 30 minutes, then put it in the oven for about 25 minutes at 350 degrees. So simple and SO tasty!

Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies I

By themselves, these were amazing. The second time I made them, I went a little nuts and added not only the semi-sweet chips, but some Peanut butter Chipits, chopped macademia nuts, and some all natural peanut butter. They weren't as fluffy, but I thought they were even tastier. These will be my contribution to the 10 or so guys here tomorrow for the Superbowl.

Grilled Halibut with Cilantro Garlic Butter

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2009
I took some hints from other reviewers and marinated this in olive oil, lime juice, and salt and pepper for a few hours before hand, and it turned out with a lovely subtle flavour. My boyfriend hates cilantro, and he finished this, went back for seconds, and said he loved it. Granted, that was before he knew what was in it... ;)

Apple Stuffed Chicken Breast

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2009
It was alright, but pretty bland. I took some of the suggestions from the other reviews and added cinnamon, thyme, basil, garlic, and a little bit of brown sugar to the apple mix and that tasted great. my problem was with the chicken. It didn't seem to absorb any of the bite of the wine. Next time, I'll marinate it in some olive oil and spices first.
