About this Cook
I am newly married and love every bit it! I have always loved to cook, but since getting married (and with that the necessity to keep me and my husband fed with healthy and delicious food) I have discovered that I love cooking much more than I knew. I am also a senior in college, ready to graduate this spring with a Bachelor's in Music Education. Music and teaching are both passions of mine that I intend to keep on pursuing. My dream is to open up my own piano studio in my home someday. I also love to read, watch old movies, play the piano, go for walks, swim, hang out with my family and friends, etc.
My favorite things to cook
Desserts are my all-time favorite things to make, whether that is cookies, brownies, pie, cakes, and so on! After that I enjoy making various chicken recipes, pasta, soups and stews, and I am trying to get better at cooking steak as well (my husband's favorite).
My favorite family cooking traditions
Making fudge and Christmas cookies at Christmas-time. =)
My cooking triumphs
Chocolate cream pie that was the biggest hit at my family's Thanksgiving dinner last year!
My cooking tragedies
Brownies with no eggs because I ran out... don't try it at home. =/

Best Moist Chocolate Cake
Despite the bad reviews for this recipe, I decided to try it. I should've kept looking for another recipe, because this one is not good at all. It is not chocolately enough, and it was heavy and dry. Don't waste your time with this chocolate cake... keep looking!

Fluffy Biscuits
I have made this recipe multiple times and absolutely love these biscuits! I have always used margarine instead of shortening, and I added another teaspoon of sugar to make them a tad bit sweeter. I do not used the entire milk and egg mixture, just enough to make them moist enough to roll out. The end result is very yummy and a great addition to any dinner!

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies
These sugar cookies are delicious! I love that they stay soft and moist even after they have completely cooled! I cut them into circles and then used the Butter Icing for Sugar Cookies recipe from this site to frost them. I finished them off with colored sprinkles and took them with me to a New Year's Party, where they were a big hit! I will definitely be making these again!!!
