About this Cook
I am a stay-at-home mom to 4 kids and a hubby of going on 11 years, and I am also a born again Christian. I cook for a meat and potatoes guy, a not too picky 15 year old, extremely picky 10 year old, a 4 year old who will eat anything and a 2 year old who is currently boycotting meat and green veggies. Therefore I can cook almost anything and at least one person will like it and chances are one person will go to bed a bit hungry.
My favorite things to cook
Slow cookers rock! Anything I can start in the morning and not touch till evening when I take off the lid to serve is awesome! That also leaves more time, energy and space for baking!
My favorite family cooking traditions
I have had Thankgiving at my house a few times and have a turkey recipe that is frequently asked for. Even my sister's father-in-law asked for it for his wife who is an awesome cook!
My cooking triumphs
My Turkey and anything I can cook that turns out good and everyone in my family likes is considered a hit to me.
My cooking tragedies
I can't think of just one but we have definetly had nights where we decided to have PB&J because dinner was unbearable.

Stuffed Pork Chops III
Stuffing was off. It had too many spices and I think it should have had gravy to top it with instead of just cooking it in broth.

Salsa II
This was the first salsa I ever made that was cooked. I usally make the super fresh kind like you get in restraunts but my hubby had been asking for a kind more like the kind you buy in jars. So I made this. I used 2 habanaros, 2 chilis and 4 jalapenos. I only used one onion though. It turned out just like I was hoping for. The consistancy of a store bought jarred salsa with lots of heat!
