Oven Brown Rice

We love this! I'm not sure what those who needed to cover did wrong but this is perfect just as it is. I don't add additional salt, just some garlic powder and some green onion if we have it. I think it would certainly be salty if I added it.

French Toast Casserole

We had this for dinner one night. Maybe I did something wrong but it was really soggy. Not like the french toast I'm used to. It honestly didn't taste that great either. We won't have this again.

Kyle's Favorite Beef Stew

This recipe was a hit! The only changes I made were not adding mushrooms(the kids hate them) and putting the red wine on with the onions and garlic to help them soften. I also didn't have 8 hours to cook this so I cooked it for 4 hours on high and 1 hour on low. So good! It's a perfect size for us. We are a family of 8 and had food to spare.

Pasta with Asparagus

I made this recipe without mushrooms and I added garlic. The family loved it! The kids all went back for seconds, as did my husband. This is a great base recipe and I plan to play around with it to improve it so I'll like it more. I really like aparagus this way and that isn't one my my favorite things to eat.

Slow Cooker Oatmeal

My kids love this, even the one who hates oatmeal. We use steel cut oats and 4 cups of water instead of 3. It comes out perfectly. I do wish I could stop it from sticking to the sides though.

I was surprised to find this was really good. It's very moist as well. We loved this and will make it again. I also plan to try it with italian dressing, I think it was be great.

Best Guacamole

I tried this because it looks so healthy especially once I read you could omit the olive oil. I made it without the olive oil. I added a dash of garlic and not quite as much salt. I think I should have added more of both. I also added half a tomatoe. It was very good. My children really liked it. I will make this again often.
