My Grandmother started teaching me to cook at age 2 that I can remember. I have always loved to cook bake and try new recipes. With 5 boys in the house plus a husband, I have to keep them interested in eating.
I have a lot of family recipes (Italian & German).
My favorite things to cook
Italian foods big dinners and baking desserts
My favorite family cooking traditions
I can't think of a few that I would like to share, they come as I cook...but I don't remember them on a daily basis.
My cooking triumphs
Anytime I can get everyone in the house to eat & like whatever I cook
My cooking tragedies
I once (when I was 8) made peanut butter cookies. I was distracted by my sister, and read 2 cups of salt and 2 tbsp sugar, instead of the other way around. I thought it was strange and didn't remeber ever having done it before, but everytime I looked at the cookbook, I swear that is what it said. So I finished them, but not to anyones enjoyment.
