Chocolate Balls

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2008
Excellent!!..I just made them without a hitch..I did use the vegetable oil instead of the shortening..I also added 1/2C. white chocolate chips and 1 1/2C chocolate chips..just because I wanted them lighter in colour..I also made them teeny weeny, pop in your mouth size..I also used 2 toothpics, one to dip and one to slide them off the other toothpic, sliding it over the hole to cover it..They turned out perfect! Thanks for the recipe..

I love this cookie..My Mom made this exact recipe every Christmas...but..she rolled them into balls and then rolled the balls in crushed walnuts..then thumbprinted them then filled them with rasberry jam..Mmmmm..Today I do half in nuts and the other half plain..

Chinese Lion's Head Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 24, 2008
I make this often in the winter..but I do something just a little different..I bake it..I layer some cabbage leaves in the bottom of my ceramic cook pot, then put in the raw meat balls and then I pour over the liquid that I have heated to just boiling. Then I layer the rest of the cabbage with some fresh ginger and garlic slices. I simmer it for about 2-3 hours in a covered pot on 300'...Or you can make it in the morning and put it in the slow cooker all day..Yummy!

Chop Suey

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2008
Loved this recipe..Of all the chop suey recipes I have tried, this by far the best one I ever made..I used left over meat in mine. I just added it after the veggies finished steaming and right before I added the cornstarch mixture..just to re-heat it..Yummers..Thanks PS.. I also used beef broth instead of plain water and omitted the salt..because I was using left over steak..
