About this Cook
I'm Bobbie. I love to cook- its a great way to relax and get away from life's stress. I love the challenge of a hard dish. I have been cooking in the kitchen with my mom since I was able to walk.
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake for my boyfriend-cookies, cakes and whatever else you can think of. I love experimenting with lasagna. I am also good at creating marinades and enjoy experimenting with cocktails!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Making spiced tea during the holidays, sweedish meatballs and kiefli with my grandma, making pasta sauces with my mom.
My cooking triumphs
I love to host dinner parties. People love coming over to eat and it makes me feel really good about myself, especially when someone asks if i make my own recipes, and I can say YES!!!!
My cooking tragedies
Undercooked Bratwurst at a party! Ha! I literally made my boyfriend vomit. sad day.

Homemade Bagels
These were really good if you do them right. I was unsure how long to boil because they floated up instantly. I also needed to add more yeast and increase bake time. I sprinkled a cinnamon sugar mixture over the top and they came out pretty good but not as thick as i'd like. I'll keep searching for an easier recipe, if there is such a thing :)

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies
This is a very very very good cookie. Any bad reviews on this cookie probably come from some problem with the way you prepare it....if your cookies are flat, make sure you are putting the dough onto a cold tray before sticking it in the oven. I do this and mine come out beautifully every time! Butterscotch pudding in them is also good, with toffee chips instead of chocolate chips. Its just a great recipe all around, and makes a wonderful cookie!
