About this Cook
I'm a mommy and wife who loves nothing more than to feed my little family (okay, and everyone else, too!) I'm also a Tastefully Simple Consultant and Lifetime Weight Watchers member who's still at goal 3 years later.
My favorite things to cook
My favorites are hands down, DESSERTS! I love anything with chocolate, peanut butter, mint, or cake. yummy
My favorite family cooking traditions
my grandmother cooked lots of Polish food from scratch. I miss her and her pierogies dearly, God rest her soul. My mother also taught me a lot, but I've gained most of my cooking knowledge from my own experimentation
My cooking triumphs
Homemade bread, pizza dough, challah (even though I'm not Jewish!) and brioche.
My cooking tragedies
I've burned myself more times than I care to count, or tell. Oh well, no one said it would be easy!

Lemon Poppy Seed Loaf
It fell in! I followed it exactly, and I'm no slack when it comes to baking, but the sucker caved in during baking.

Italian Bread Using a Bread Machine
I've done many loaves in the machine, and this is the BEST! I, too, used all bread flour, I added 1 heaping teaspoon vital wheat gluten, and let it rise on a parchment covered baking sheet, which I oiled the baking sheet and then dusted with cornmeal. I will say that be careful to cover each loaf with a medium dusting of flour before you cover with a damp cloth, as the cloth stuck right to the loaf! No big deal, just used a knife to seperate it and then did the egg wash and baked. BEAUTIFUL!

Old Time Soft Sugar Cookies
I was looking for a denser textured sugar cookie, and this one was kinda disappointing. very light, airy texture, however, my 3 and 4 year old liked them. I wouldn't make these again, still on the quest for a slightly denser, soft sugar cookie
