About this Cook
I'm an old fashioned cook, with recipes from my mom and grandmother still in my recipe box and on my table.
My favorite things to cook
I love pasta but have a hard time finding really good satisfying meals from it esides spaghetti and meat.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Thanksgiving and all the trimmings that go with it.
My cooking triumphs
Hawaiin chicken , a recipe from my mom's sister, my aunt, that has wowed people every single time I've made it, and it's so easy it's scary!
My cooking tragedies
I love yeast recipes for sweet rolls, but find it hard to get the knack of some of them. I'm trying an Easter bread recipe given to me by a friend who got it from an elderly neighbor. She would go over and watch her make it to learn how and I think I might have to do the same now with my friend, because my first try was not pretty!

Carrot Zucchini Bread
I loved this recipe. It's like a harvest quick bread, but not the same old zucchini bread. The citrus zest is a nice touch, but I only jad orange so I don't know what the lemon would have done. I baked it a little longer to pull out a clean toothpick. Wonderful, it'll go into my recipe box. Thanks.
