These are amazing! My parents loved them. I did what some other users did, when the dough got a bit too hard I softened it with a bit of orange juice. I also brushed the remaining orange juice over them when they were done. It made the orange flavor more obvious and kept them soft for days. Way better than your average chocolate chip cookie.

I made this to dip breadsticks and veggies in for lunch.I can't get my hands on American cheese so I used this strong flavored cheese i had on hand. It came out perfect and was not at all bland except that it started to lose its liquidity after a while. Definitely very simple since I was able to make it even though I'm 14 and lousy at cooking things in a saucepan.
