About this Cook
I'm a mom and a working artist. When I have time to cook, I love experimenting, but most of the time, it's the old standby recipes
My favorite things to cook
fresh fruit pies, salads, stir fry
My favorite family cooking traditions
rosemary, lemon and garlic turkey for Thanksgiving
My cooking triumphs
One entire Thanksgiving dinner done by me, with perfect timing. Everything was done at the same time, and it all turned out really tasty.
My cooking tragedies
My first attempt at an Easter dinner for friends (I was 22) and I made a fresh strawberry pie, but mistakenly substituted corn syrup for corn starch. It was terribly sweet and runny. yuk

Honey Oat Muffins
this is a very hearty, tasty muffin. A great breakfast muffin, and one that my picky eater, 7 year old daughter, likes.

Fluffy Pancakes
This is an easy, flavorful, fluffy pancake, that my family LOVES. I add a 1/4 tsp of vanilla, when I remember, but it's great without it, too.

Amelia's Tuna Macaroni Salad
This was very close to the recipe I remember as a kid. I don't know what else my mother put into the salad, but this had all the right basics. My family ate it up and smiled. Thanks!
