I'm a teenager, I grew up helping my mom in the kitchen, and discovered that I love making desserts, and eating them even more! I bake cakes and cookies mostly, but I also make a pretty good pasta dish that is quick and easy - jar of sauce, pound of pasta (any kind), pound of ground beef, cheese; boil pasta and brown beef, drain pasta and beef (remove fat), and pasta to beef skillet, pour in sauce, heat for about 5 minutes, add cubed cheese (to taste), heat 5 minutes, stir a bit, and serve! it takes about 25 minutes depending on type of pasta and if the ground beef is frozen or not. Yummy! Dessert, more specifically, Fudge Chocolate and Peanut Butter cheese cakes - if you spread melted chocolate or chocolate sauce over the PB, it tastes like a giant, cold Reese's cup! Making Cinnamon Swirl muffins and a Giant Chocolate Chip cookie with both of my little cousins 'helping' me at the same time - very messy, but fun! Both recipes turned out perfectly, and cousins Chuck, 4 and Ellie, 1 were very proud of themselves! An attempt at a vegetarian meal in a family that are all meat lovers... I made a Parmesan flan, which was great, but the tomatoe relish was way over salted, the avocado soup was really bland, and the zucchini/summer squash salad was sour from the dressing... *wince*
