I have been making this for about 2 years now, and it has never failed to get rave reviews from any of the many people I've shared it with. Many people ask me for the recipe, and I know that it has become a Thanksgiving/ holiday tradition in several households as a result (including my parents, though I'm not usually able to make it home for Thanksgiving). It's always very flavorful and moist. Sometimes I make mini-loaves and give them as gifts (remember to reduce the cooking time, if you do this!), other times I just make regular loaves and freeze them (it freezes very well).

I followed this recipe exactly, and it turned out beautifully. My fiance normally avoids zucchini bread, but he loved this. Can't wait until next summer's farmers markets so I can make it again!

I made this at Thanksgiving, and around Christmastime, my fiance asked me why I hadn't made it again yet. Then he proceeded to reminisce about how amazing it was! It was a definite hit among the guests at Thanksgiving, even though it was my first pie experience. My only complaint is that it seemed like way too many apples to fit into one crust -- maybe my frozen crust was smaller than most? I ended up making 2 pies and putting half the apples in each, and once it baked, the apples had reduced in size enough that I wished that I had just tried to cram them all into one pie crust, after all. Maybe next time I'll reduce the amount of apples so that they all fit into one crust. Other than that, 5 stars. Easy and very yummy!
