My favorite things to cook
Now that I'm out of nursing school and have time to enjoy cooking again, i have started experimenting with healthier dishes such as talapia and baked fish.
My cooking triumphs
My biggest cooking triumphs are anything my five year declares as "awesome", as most five year olds he can be picky! Recently i made pulled pork and the whole family (including my son) loved it, that was a great feeling!
My cooking tragedies
when i first started dating my now husband about 15 years ago, i thought i would attempt a homemade dinner of fried chicken. My mother warned me not to,seeing how this is not a dish for a novice. Growing up i had no interest in cooking when my mom tried to teach me. So i wasn't even familiar with a stove. Well, my chicken turned out black on the outside and raw on the inside, our 2 cats somehow ended up coated in flour that i spilled and the fire alarm went off!
