My husband and I had been watching a television show featuring shepherd's pie and we had never tried it. We figured we could give a try and saw this recipe. To my surprise this turned out really well. The surprise was based on my general dislike of cream of mushroom, but this turned out really well. I added garlic to the potatoes and the sauteed the meat with garlic as well. I also added carrots. Very good recipe. My husband and I both had it again for lunch today. Mmmm!

Love these. Can't wait to make them again this year. My picky husband will even eat a few without complaint, and the students in my 3rd grade class raved about them. Thanks for the idea.

Served this for a get together with some friends. Everybody loved it. I did not have any Asiago cheese on hand, but I did have an Italian mix, which included Asiago. It turned out just fine. I also substituted bacon for the proscuitto, which was fine. Great recipe. Thanks for sharing it.
