About this Cook
I'm 27 and live with my wonderful boyfriend Avrinder, our boxer/bulldog and two cats. I like tattoos and heavy metal music. I'm a homebody so my favorite things to do are cooking, baking, playing with our dog, and just hanging out.
My favorite things to cook
I mostly do a lot of curries, lasagna, chili etc. My real passion is baking. Anything sweet!
My favorite family cooking traditions
I'm Mennonite (German/Russian) so I grew up baking buns with my mom. Perogies (mostly fruit ones), rollkuchen(sp?), and farmer sausage were staples at our house.

Apple Crisp II
This recipe rules! I "healthied it up" by replacing all of the white sugar and 1/2 of the brown sugar with baking Splenda and using whole wheat flour instead of white. Soooooooo good!

Sour Cream Coffee Cake
Great recipe! A few changes I made; I tried using whole wheat flour for half of the flour called for, turned out really well, still really moist. Also, I used loaf pans ( one recipe fills a large loaf pan or two small) so baking time was increased by 15-20 minutes. And the most important change; put 3/4 of the cinnamon sugar in the middle layer. This one's going in my recipe binder!!!

Cinnamon Rolls II
I really like this recipe. I let the dough rise for an hour after the first kneading and then I let the buns rise for two hours before I baked them.
