Grandma's Rice

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2009
I was looking for a great rice recipe to serve with Filet Mignon or Prime Rib ( to mimic a favorite restaurant) and this is it ! I added green pepper slices but that was the only thing.. this is a wonderful dish.

Best Steak Marinade in Existence

I love this recipe because you have most of the ingredients in house and ... it truly is the best steak marinade I have ever used.

Easy Never Forgotten Guacamole

Reviewed: Aug. 5, 2009
This is wonderful with Cream cheese and the salsa. I was out of sour cream and frankly bored with my usual recipe. I served this with Chicken fahitas and it was fantastic. This is now my favorite recipe. Oh.. if you make up before hand, press plastic wrap directly onto the guacamole and cover. Your guacamole won't brown this way - and this recipe held up the next day for leftovers.. I've never had that in other guacamole dips.. Usually I would toss whatever was left.

Sour Cream Burgers

Reviewed: Aug. 5, 2009
I followed the ingredients as is and it was perfect. Just make sure you refrigerate for a least an hour so they meat firms up. I'm always bored of burgers when I have to make them for the hubby but I really enjoyed this recipe..

Cheeseburger and Fries Casserole

Reviewed: Aug. 5, 2009
I really enjoyed this ! I used chopped red onion, added a few squirts of hot sauce just for a bite and added a cup of shredded cheddar to the mix. I then topped with crispy crowns vs. frenchfries. Once the crispy crowns were cooked, I topped with a cup of shredded cheddar and baked until melted. Very fun, comfy food ! (Almost forgot,, I used cream of mushroom soup and seasoned with McCormick California Garlic salt- has parsley added)

Pear Pomatini

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2009
This was perfect, I use the brand "Pama" pomegranate liqueur and white cranberry juice although red is just as good. Before finding this recipe I was making something similar only with Vanilla vodka... I never thought of using Pear vodka...yummy !

Potato Leek Soup III

I added ham but left all ingredients as is. It is a great soup to serve with fresh baked sourdough bread.

Game Day Sangria

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2008
By far the easiest and best Sangria recipe I have come across. After posting this review I did try another Sangria recipe using orange and lemon slices versus juice however I like this recipe the best. An update... I tried using Real Sangria and folowing this recipe but I like using a Columbia Crest cabernet or merlot. I still think this recipe is the best I have come across.
